The Mission of the Detroit District Dental Society is to support the membership in providing dental care to the public through education, communication and services.

Society Profile

The Detroit District Dental Society has been in existence since 1895. It is one of the twenty-five component dental societies of the Michigan Dental Association. The Detroit District is comprised of the following branch dental societies: Central, Eastern, Monroe, Southwestern and Western. Each of our members also belongs to the Michigan and American Dental Associations, thus completing our tripartite organizational structure.
Detroit District currently has approximately 1400 total active and life members.

When one becomes a member of the Detroit District Dental Society, he/she is making a sound investment in his/her professional future. Organized dentistry protects the interests of its members as well as that of the patients we serve in assuring the highest quality dental care for the public.

The Detroit District Dental Society’s purpose is to encourage improvement of the oral health of the public, to promote the art and science of dentistry and to jointly represent the interests of the dental profession and the public we serve.

How to Become a Member

The membership application is for new members and those rejoining organized dentistry. The application asks for name and contact information, practice and home address information, dental education, licensing information, and student organized dentistry membership facts. Dentists should forward complete applications and dues payment to the MDA office.
